Introducing Cole Goodrow, founder of Quartersawn Construction, and our exciting new presenter at this year's Touch A Trade event. Cole brings a wealth of expertise to our gathering, and he will be leading an interactive workshop on constructing 4x8 mock walls complete with window installations and shingle/clapboard siding over a rainscreen. Adam Woodruff, a seasoned professional with an impressive 19-year tenure in the realm of machining and CNC programming, makes his triumphant return as a TradesUp presenter. With a rich background as a general machinist and a CNC programmer/operator, Adam's expertise is truly unparalleled in the industry.
Currently serving as a Toolmaker in the dynamic field of medical engineering, Adam plays a pivotal role in supporting the development of implantable medical devices, showcasing his commitment to precision and innovation. His contributions have undoubtedly left an indelible mark on the field, enhancing healthcare and improving lives.
As a returning TradesUp presenter, Adam is set to enlighten attendees with his wealth of knowledge in Precision Measuring. With a keen focus on the utilization of dial calipers and micrometers, he will empower participants to grasp the intricacies of these essential tools. Adam's dedication to education and his extensive real-world experience make him the perfect guide for those seeking to master the art of precision measurement in the world of machining and beyond.

Elizabeth DiSalvo is an Architect who specializes in designing Sustainable Homes. For over 20 years she and her firm, Trillium Architects, have been dedicated solely to creating healthy, earth-friendly, low-carbon homes. Their work includes custom homes, affordable multi-family and modular, as well as some lite commercial projects throughout Litchfield, Fairfield, Westchester counties and beyond.

Nevan Carling is a preservation timber and buildings archaeologist from Hartford, CT. He completed his undergraduate degree in Archaeology and Heritage Management at the University of York in the United Kingdom and is currently completing his MSc in Timber Building Conservation at the Weald and Downland Museum in Chichester, England. Nevan specializes in historic timber framing techniques and the repair of historic buildings, with a special interest in 17th and 18th century structures.

Kevin Ireton, a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Kentucky, embarked on an unconventional path, spending a decade as a carpenter. This unique career choice took an unexpected turn in 1986 when he joined Fine Homebuilding magazine's staff, eventually rising to become its chief editor, a role he held until his retirement from publishing in 2009. Kevin now resides in western Connecticut, pursuing his passions as a freelance writer and builder.
At this year's TradesUp event, Kevin Ireton will be featured in the Tool Booth, where he will serve as a knowledgeable guide, introducing the audience to the various tools utilized in the trades. His extensive experience as both a craftsman and an editor in the field of homebuilding positions him as an ideal presenter to educate and engage attendees in the world of trade tools and craftsmanship.

Marc Audette is a Connecticut licensed Electrical Contractor who has been in the electrical profession for over 35 years. He studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of New Haven. He began his career working in Groton, CT performing commercial, industrial, marine and residential work. Marc has worked both as Project Manager and Construction Manager, gaining experience in all phases of his profession. Through his work in the field, he saw areas of the trade that could be improved upon and designed a practice of operating as a partnership. His approach is about collaboration - with lighting suppliers, manufacturers, tradespeople, architects, designers and most importantly, the homeowners. This idea sparked the desire to venture out on his own. He attained his Masters Electrical license and founded Audette Electrical Services in 1999. He has owned and operated AES for over 20 years, consistently researching, training and specializing in premier brands such as Lutron Electronics and Kohler Standby Generator System. AES services include home renovation, new construction, lighting control and integration, generator installation to name a few.
